Orange

Somehow, he's "more" orange now that we've moved to the west.
Maybe it's the angle of the sun??

I suppose I could have photoshopped the glowing
eyes....but this is how they really looked. Oh - and the
neighbours seem frightened by his size. :)

Is Anyone Out There?

I haven't posted in a long time, yet a couple of people
actually left comments (thanks!).

The question is, should I continue to post things
here? Will anyone see it?

Do I have anything to say?? (OK, maybe DON'T answer
that one) . . .

The End of "Plate!....D'OH!!!"

Way back when I started this blog, I wrote a short
rant about people in my state who complain about
even the slightest fee BUT are just fine with giving
the registry extra money for a vanity plate.

Honestly, you can't drive a tenth of a mile without
seeing someone's "meaningful statement" that they
just HAD to share with the rest of us.

I started jotting them down....the little scraps of paper
piled up.....so now I'm dumping them all right here
and trying to stop looking at licence plates altogether.

Along the way, I inserted some comments on the scraps
of paper, so I included them here. I know, some of my
comments are just as dumb as some of the plates.....whatever.

Feel free to chime in if you have a comment about one of the
plates you see here. Would YOU give the registry of motor
vehicles extra cash so your car could wear one of these??

More Travels

Out and about . . .

"Art" shot (meaning, multi-hued and out-of-focus!) of Mrs. L before
a gig in Vermont, taken with a cheap "gimmick" camera:

Roadside food, entrance:

Roadside food, exit:

Cloud animal, Vermont:

Cloud . . um . . volcano . . yeah, that's it, Vermont:

War protesters in western Massachusetts:

Manhattan - Ice cream and back rubs, who could ask for more?

Choosing fruit at an outdoor market (tougher than choosing ice cream!) :

Waiting for the train back downtown:

Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, #1:

Showing bemusement that friend's iPhone can't be left alone for
even a minute, Brooklyn Bridge #2:

Sign o' the times, Coney Island:

Very frightening how many takers there were, and how many
were able to get off a headshot!!!

The "veranda", Brooklyn:

If you tire of walking, just sit on a dog!

Alligator control, NYC-style:

Master L, scouring the beach at Coney Island, attempting to avoid the
"whitefish" and "needlefish" :

Cat blocking the exit when we got home to prevent us from
leaving again:

We'll try to get out again when he falls asleep . . .

Update in Photos

A photo is worth 1000 words, so this makes up for
my lack of posting . . . yeah, OK . . .

Views from the road . . .

Exciting view of cinder blocks on roof, State College,
Pennsylvania:

Couldn't figure out WHY they were there. Unless . . . are they
aesthetically pleasing?!?

But wait - we actually saw some urban life in our travels.

Mr. and Master L in Times Square:

If they keep up this "walking mall" stuff, the boy will
never believe my tales of "old" NYC!!!
We saw some of the classic city wildlife:

Heh.
Master L among geodes:

NYC bedroom view:

And the view from the main room:

Well, at least any concrete in those views is being used
properly! "We are not in Pennsylvania anymore . . ."

Wandered the (now unfamiliar) streets, discovered a
great restaurant . . I'd say its name, but it was already
hard enough to get a seat!!! :)

The good old East River . . .

. . . a lot of people I know live within this view, but we didn't
have time to see any of them . . . this was as close as we got.
There just wasn't enough time.

This was the back of a truck that aggressively cut us off on the highway:

Clearly it was a tribute to some OTHER drivers.

I didn't take any photos of the band gig at the nudist camp.
Sorry. But you probably are not!

We managed to cross paths with the Ani Difranco tour:

And the "Tall Ships":

But still managed to find time for relaxation:

Well . . . ONE of us did, anyway! Bastard.
