Band From Hell

I was thinking.....maybe banjo, soprano sax, pedal steel guitar,
didgeridoo and an opera singer.....

Any ideas on how to make it worse?

hammered dulcimer or harpsichord (with lots of trilling).

There is a guy here in Australia called Xavier Rudd who plays a guitar, didgeridoo and a drum AND sings and he is fabulous!!! Google him to find out more. I know the combination sounds pretty bad but honestly, he is wonderful. (I think he is really big in Canada too - does the surfing circuit as he is sponsered by Quicksilver.)

Ooh - hammered dulcimer...good suggestion.

Checking out some X.R. samples now, but I haven't heard the dreaded didgeridoo yet! But, I may have found a replacement:

There was an electronic "instrument" that was big in the 60s that just made a kind of whining sound...why can't I remember what it was called?!? It sounded like a radio that wasn't quite tuned in...
anyone remember the name of it?

YES! You guys are coming through big time, here. How could I have forgotten those??

Yodel and opera harmony.

Bagpipes - one time, a bagpipe group "sat in" with my band for "Auld Lang Syne"...I wish there was an audio recording, because it just can't be described!
