While it's not as dramatic as some of the other places around here, this is a shot of the river near my house. Normally, I could stand on the river-side of the submerged cement wall at the bottom of the picture...and not get my feet wet....
Supposedly on its way down today, Bud. For some reason, we didn't get any water in the basement this time (knock on processed wood-product...it's all I have here!).
Master L was stunned to see the area (where he often cavorts joyously) under water twice his height. Wonder what we'll find there when it recedes?
Sounds like you lucked out this time. If Master L finds anything more than a bunch of sticks and tree branches, I want to know about it. Take care, and have a good weekend.

Stay dry and keep us informed, L!

hey mr l! has the floodwater receded yet? i'm sure many other parts of the country would like you to funnel it their way!
The river is taking its time...but we still haven't had any water in our house, so we're (surprised but) fortunate!
